Superset Consulting Requirement A major financial services firm sought to replace its reliance on a leading industry BI solution for one of its key products. The goal was to transition to an Open Source platform (Superset) in order to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to fully grasp the requirements, scope, potential risks, and the technical environment. Following this assessment, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project’s progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture to meet the specific reporting needs of each report type. To ensure Superset was utilized to its full potential and that performance remained optimal, the consultant recommended adjustments to the data stores and provided guidance to the implementation team. Once the data store and pipeline were optimized, our consultants began building and deploying a wide range of reports, addressing both existing requirements and new requests from the business and end customers.
Outcome The consultants have been developing new dashboards while simultaneously embedding sufficient technical knowledge within the client organization to ensure they can maintain these dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has received a positive response from both the client’s business unit and their end clients. In recognition of the project’s success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
