Requirement for Superset Consulting
A large financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution in one of its core products, moving to an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings in licensing costs.
Deliverables
NobleProg held several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this understanding, we created a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project.
Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended changes to the data stores to maximize Superset’s capabilities while ensuring optimal performance, and provided guidance to the team implementing these changes.
Following the optimization of the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers.
To present the data as requested, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation, including drill-down features.
Outcome
The consultants have been building new dashboards and ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer’s organization to maintain the dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer’s business and their end clients. To underscore the success of the project, it has been expanded and extended to include more products and end clients.
