This course comprises two complementary modules: theoretical and practical. The first module is a one-day introduction that covers the motivation, philosophy, fundamentals, and operational rules of the SIP protocol, as well as its application in implementing telecom services with a focus on IP telephony and VoIP. The second module, spanning two days, allows participants to master practical aspects of service operation through hands-on laboratory exercises. These exercises provide detailed insights into configuring components of the SIP telephony architecture, analyzing SIP signaling at both the message sequence chart and internal message structure levels, and understanding typical problems and troubleshooting scenarios, including those related to security and telecom fraud. Trainers will share their experience in launching, operating, and managing SIP telephony, including virtualization and cloud-based solutions. The practical portion utilizes both SIP hardphones and softphones, along with IP telephony servers (Asterisk and Freeswitch). Participants benefit from the trainers' extensive technical and business experience in IP telephony and can submit their own problems and questions. These will be incorporated into the agenda's wrap-up session to supplement the training and address the clients' current urgent needs. The training is designed for participants with basic knowledge and experience in telecom services, specifically in VoIP and IP networking.
