- Delivering a pre-prepared talk on a work-related topic of the participant's choosing.
Note: The length of each individual presentation depends on the total course duration and group size. A group of eight is considered optimal
- Comprehensive individual and group feedback
Designing a Presentation
- Key questions presenters should address upfront
- Why am I the right speaker?
- Logistics: content, location, timing, method, and duration
- How these answers influence the overall structure
- Organizing the material:
- Research – mastering the subject matter
- Arranging the content in a logical sequence
- Developing and utilizing complementary visual support
Preparing the Speaker
- The three core communication elements for presenters:
- Verbal – choosing precise words while avoiding slang or jargon
- Vocal – managing tone and sound, eliminating distracting tics or verbal fillers
- Visual – presenting a professional appearance through dress, body language, and presence
- Practicing the delivery and soliciting candid feedback from reliable sources
- Managing anxiety and nervousness
Setting the Scene
- Room arrangements and how they convey implicit messages to the audience
- Leveraging the physical space to enhance the presentation experience
Presentation Proficiency – Reflection
- Delivering a subsequent presentation after adequate preparation.
