Day 2: Developing the implementation plan for a BCMS
Day 3: Executing the BCMS implementation
Day 4: Assessing performance, driving continual improvement, and preparing for the certification audit
Day 5: Certification examination
The “PECB Certified ISO 22301 Lead Implementer” exam adheres to the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) standards. The assessment covers the following competency areas:
Domain 1: Core principles and concepts of a BCMS
Domain 2: Initiating BCMS implementation
Domain 3: Planning BCMS implementation in line with ISO 22301
Domain 4: Executing BCMS implementation based on ISO 22301
Domain 5: Evaluating BCMS performance according to ISO 22301
Domain 6: Achieving continual improvement of the BCMS under ISO 22301
Domain 7: Preparing for a BCMS certification audit
PECB ISO 22301 Implementer Certification Requirements
To obtain the PECB ISO 22301 Implementer certification, all candidates must pass the PECB Certified ISO 22301 Lead Implementer Exam (or an accepted equivalent) and consent to the PECB Code of Ethics.
Based on your professional experience and project history, you may apply for one of four distinct certification levels:
1. Provisional Implementer
Credential: PECB Certified ISO 22301 Provisional Implementer
Professional Experience Required: None
BCMS Project Experience Required: None
Best Suited For: Industry newcomers or professionals transitioning into business continuity management who have passed the exam but lack field hours.
2. Implementer
Credential: PECB Certified ISO 22301 Implementer
Professional Experience Required: Two years total, including at least one year dedicated to Business Continuity Management.
BCMS Project Experience Required: A minimum of 200 cumulative hours of project activities.
3. Lead Implementer
Credential: PECB Certified ISO 22301 Lead Implementer
Professional Experience Required: Five years total, including at least two years focused on Business Continuity Management.
BCMS Project Experience Required: A minimum of 300 cumulative hours of project activities.
4. Senior Lead Implementer
Credential: PECB Certified ISO 22301 Senior Lead Implementer
Professional Experience Required: Ten years total, including at least seven years focused on Business Continuity Management.
BCMS Project Experience Required: A minimum of 1,000 cumulative hours of project activities.
